The two courses for 2013 are:
MKT352 Principles of Marketing:
Prerequisite: Sophomore standing. Credits: 3
An introductory course in the marketing activities associated with the free market system. The various components and functions of the marketing activities will be discussed in an integrated framework to provide insight into the role and scope of marketing in the business environment. The components and functions include: product development, pricing, promotion, distribution, consumer behavior and target market analysis.
OB354 Behavior in Organizations:
Prerequisite: Junior Standing. Credits: 3
To study the nature and dynamics of behavior within organizations from an open system theory viewpoint, emphasizing determinants and consequences of individual, interpersonal, small group and inter group behavior. Group discussions and role-playing techniques will be used to develop leadership skills and methods and to foster understanding of applied problems in organizational behavior.
The courses content will cover all the basic material of the course offered here in Dearborn, but examples will stress the international dimensions of marketing and organizational behavior. The University of Padua business school is ranked as Italy’s top business school from a major university. The courses are in English and taught by a team of UM-Dearborn and University of Padua professors. Enrollment in the classes will be approximately half UM-D students and half students from the University of Padua and other European schools.
Space is limited to 30 students. You can reserve your place in the program by making a $100 deposit that will be applied against the cost of the program when you attend.
